This week, we noticed how care takes many forms in our community—through professional training, family caregiving, and healing spaces designed to meet people where they are.
Preparing the people who protect children
Safe Children Coalition continues to be a leader in strengthening the difficult work of case management through specialized training and support. It just announced implementation of a new statewide training program designed to better prepare case managers, reduce turnover in a challenging field, and ensure continuity for children and families involved in the child-welfare system.
Honoring the expertise of family caregivers
The national Easterseals organization shared a new short film that looks at caregiving through the eyes of families, including several here in our community served by Easterseals Southwest Florida. The video honors the extraordinary knowledge, commitment, and daily problem-solving that family caregivers dedicate to the people they love.
Creating places where healing can begin
Operation Warrior Resolution just marked one year of owning Warrior Spirit Ranch, a setting it created to help veterans step away from crisis, reconnect with others, and experience a sense of calm and belonging.
Different stories, same reminder: care is not one thing. It is people, preparation, place, trust, and support coming together to help others move forward with greater steadiness and opportunities for well-deserved peace.
