In September and October of 2025, the Center for Effective Philanthropy conducted a Grantee Perception Survey for Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation. Through confidential, anonymous feedback from our grantees, we wanted to learn more about what we are doing well and where we can do better as a funder and partner.
Our 2025 Grantee Perception Report produced by CEP follows a similar survey and report from 2022. We are grateful to our many nonprofit partners who took the time to share their opinions about and experiences working with Barancik Foundation through this latest survey.
We are pleased to report that “feedback continues to be overwhelmingly positive and highlights the impactful, collaborative relationships” we have developed with our partners. We also made improvements since the 2022 survey in several areas where there was room for it.
The responses that stand out most to us, though, identify opportunities for continued improvement. For example, we recognize partners’ desire for longer-term and more flexible funding, as well as their interest in more assistance “beyond the grant” in areas like fundraising and other capacity building. We’re looking at these ideas with fresh eyes as we move forward.
